It’s been nearly four decades since my parents, John and Angelique Harding, had a dream to build a dairy bar along scenic Route 29, just 3 miles north of Tunkhannock, in Wyoming County. In 1978, their dream became reality when they opened Harding’s Dairy Bar on our family’s dairy farm. The farm remained in operation until 1999, and the Dairy Bar has been going strong ever since.
Today, with my wife and daughters, I carry on the tradition of service to the community that my parents started. At Harding’s Dairy Bar & Golf, we’re committed to providing delicious soft serve ice cream, and a full menu of burgers, barbecue and homemade sides.
In addition to our famous ice cream and popular homemade food, our visitors enjoy a Mini Golf course and Driving Range. Situated in one of the most beautiful regions in Northeastern Pennsylvania, it’s the perfect venue for families to host special events, or to enjoy a night out together.
Picnic tables are set up along the creek, which runs through the property, and a spacious pavilion can be decorated for birthday, anniversary, graduation and retirement parties. The pavilion is 18’ by 21’ and accommodates up to 6 tables, making it the perfect place to entertain. In addition to the picturesque setting, you’ll enjoy the convenience of on-site catering. We’ll take care of the cooking and cleaning, while you spend time with family and friends.
Our picnic area is also a wonderful place for church groups and civic organizations to hold meetings. We welcome everyone in the community to stop by for a bite to eat, and enjoy the natural beauty of the landscape.
Whether you pop in for a vanilla/chocolate twist, our famous smoked barbecue, or a round of mini golf, our family has just one wish – have fun!

Harding’s Dairy Bar on Route 29 is just 3 miles north of Tunkhannock, in Wyoming County. The Dairy Bar, is open late April through Labor Day, 7 days a week, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Weather permitting, Mini Golf and the Driving Range are open late April through mid-October, 7 days a week, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
